MATT ANDERSON

Matt started his internship after completing his fourth year at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

Throughout the summer, he was able to dive right in and work on a variety of ongoing projects. From road to storm drain design, he got a good look at the different aspects of civil engineering. “It was rewarding to be given responsibilities on projects and see those plans signed and shipped out.”

Matt will be returning to Cal Poly to finish his degree, and feels that the skills gained from his summer will really help him attain his goal in becoming a professional engineer. “Over the course of the internship, I gained a lot of confidence with my AutoCAD abilities, learned new ways to think and solve problems, and how to communicate effectively with co-workers and clients. Everyone at Whitson Engineers is incredibly friendly and it creates a truly unique work atmosphere. This was a summer that I will never forget.”
